Learning to draw and paint accurately from life is fundamental to any artistic training. At the Sarum Studio, the model adopts a pose that is sustained over the course of two weeks, thereby promoting a comprehensive enquiry into line and proportion, chiaroscuro and modelling. When the requisite level of draughtsmanship has been attained, students are introduced to the limited flesh painting palette.

Whenever possible, Nick will paint or draw with the class in order to demonstrate by example.
